The 7th Kobayashi Foundation Award Guidelines for Applicants
Here, we would like to inform you that Kobayashi Foundation for Cancer Research will start the 7th application for Kobayashi Foundation Award.
Originally, the Kobayashi Foundation Award had been conducted jointly with the Asian Clinical Oncology Society from the first (2010) to third (2014) awards. However, from the 4th Award (2016), the objectives were extended more widely to the following two categories: one is for cancer researchers who created distinguished research achievements in the field of cancer chemotherapy, and another is for the healthcare professionals or medical teams who made remarkable contributions in the field of cancer chemotherapy.
Please find two different application guidelines and forms. One is for the researchers (Part 1), and another is for the healthcare professionals or medical teams (Part 2).

Objective |
The Kobayashi Foundation Award will be given to a researcher who created distinguished research and remarkable contributions and/or developments and achievements for oncology or cancer chemotherapy in his or her own country, other than Japan. |
The Kobayashi Foundation Award will be given to one to three healthcare professionals or medical teams (e.g. medical doctors, nurses, pharmacists, medical educators, etc.) who made remarkable contributions and/or developments and achievements for cancer chemotherapy in his or her own country other than Japan. Age discrimination under 50 years old as of February 28, 2022. |

Selection Process |
One award winner will be selected by members of the selection committee composed of oncology and cancer chemotherapy experts of Kobayashi Foundation. |
Two award winners will be selected by members of the selection committee composed of oncology and cancer chemotherapy experts of Kobayashi Foundation. |

Award and Prize |
One or two researchers selected from all applicants who created distinguished research achievements in the field of oncology and cancer chemotherapy in applicant’s country can obtain the award with the prize money of 500,000 Japanese yen. |
The healthcare professionals or medical teams selected from all applicants who made remarkable social contributions in the field of cancer chemotherapy in his or her own country can obtain the award with the prize money of 500,000 Japanese yen each. |

Result Announcement |
The result will be announced on the websites of Kobayashi Foundation. Also, the result will be given to the applicants individually. |
